Due to the recent recalls of products "Made in China", PNV2 has made the decision to include "People" in our organization name (People and Pets Need A Voice Too). Many of our visitors came when they had a pet that was made ill or killed due to eating tainted pet food with ingredients coming from China, but many of those same visitors have children and loved ones that are being affected by recent toy and product recalls.

At PNV2, we use this quote quite often because it basically sums up what we have done to date and what we strive to continue doing;

PNV2 was the first group to organize a nationwide movement as a result of the pet food recalls.

PNV2 works closely with other groups to continue to raise awareness, help raise safety standards for pet food and to make sure the pet food recall tragedy NEVER happens again!

Since March 2007, more than 5,600 individual pet food related items have been recalled. Each day that list gets longer and PNV2 continues to ask "How long does a recall take???"

Well over 4,000 pets have lost their lives. That number reflects the self reported cases (sent in to Pet Connection) and may be a small fraction of the true number.

At PNV2, we are dedicated to making sure our pets deaths were not in vain. We also offer our support to those that lost a pet and those that have ill pets.
